Scholarship and Sajjani Award presentation ceremony was recently held for poor meritorious students studying in the Konkan Education Trust affiliates.

Programme was inaugurated by the retired professor Mrs. Geeta Nayak. She spoke of the need for behavioural conversion and cultural education in today’s life and also its significance in our daily life proceedings. She explained unique features of Sajjani Award and the process of difficulty in selecting students for awarding such a great honour. Further adding to her speech, she indeed explicated the importance of such scholarship programme. The retired headmaster at Konkan institute Shri M. M. Hegde presided over the programme and said, “As this scholarship came to help you in your journey of education, now it is equally important that you too develop the attitude to help those who are in need”. The honourable guest, Rotarian Smt. Jayashree Kamat told, “Without courage, and self-confidence we cannot achieve any feat in our life. So, always be confident and face the challenges with spirit and precise intent and then see how the success would come on your way”.

Students C. N. Dhanya, Nayana Naik and K. G. Anoosha were given ‘Sajjani Award’ with cash prize for the first three places. Besides these, seven other girls were awarded consolation prizes.
Trustee Shri D. D. Kamat, Saraswati P U College principal Smt. Sulochana Rao, Head Mistresses Smt. Suma Prabhu, Smt. Sujata Naik, Smt. Savitri Hegde, educational counsellors Smt. Leelavati Nayak, Shri R. H. Deshbhandari were present on the occasion. Trust’s honourable secretary Shri Muralidhar Prabhu said, “The main pillars of this program are the donors who were offered their generous contribution towards this scholarship fund. Their share along with our Trust’s donation have made this scholarship benefit reached out to even more number of students who are financially inadequate to uphold the education necessities.”

Teachers Anita and Prakash compered the function; Shri D. D. Kamat offered the thanks, Abheda and companions prayed.
Overall this function has studded one more remarkable memory with the series of Konkan Education Trust’s memorable events.
